Well, it’s tax time and as usual, I will hopefully make the April 15th deadline. Now that I have another person to add, I fully expect the entire process to take way too long but I am too cheap to hire an accountant.

I have been using Turbo Tax for the last 11 years and I really like the product. For the last 2 years, I have been using Turbo Tax Home & Business which allows single member LLC to file for both business and personal income taxes. Absolutely love the product (probably because I have use it for so long)! Plus, they started to offer a protection plan where for $39.99, a professional accounting firm will work on my behalf if I should ever be audited by the IRS.

I will get into more in-depth regarding baby financial planning (e.g. 529 plans) at a later posting…
